Being in NYC is great.  Everywhere I go I hear new music.

Recently I was turned on to the Box set put out by the legendary Factory records.  It is a compilation of the best songs put out by the company, when it was at its height in the 80’s.  This song struck me immediatly.

Reminiscent of the work by the No Wave rockers James White and the Blacks, Blurt certainly knew how to rock.  They were definitely ahead of their time. They are the musical progenitors of bands like Primus, and Buckethead.  In fact on first listen I thought Blurt was Primus.  Give ‘er a listen. What do you think?

Yesterday was my first time in Boston.  Literally 5 mins into being in the city this song comes on the radio.  Fuck Yes!

Iggy Pop.

The more I have listened to him the more in awe I become of him.  The more I watch of his performances the more amazed I am.  Truly an artist of the first order.  LISTEN TO POP!  POP IS GOOD

Its been a while since I gave Minor Threat a good listen.  But last night I saw a band cover this song. I couldn’t help but got back to their records.  Even thought their musicianship is somewhat suspect, its their energy and vivacity with which they perform that has me seeing red…Uhhh!
