Joe Strummer was right.
In his opening to Minstrel Boy from his two disc album Generations, Joe strummer talks about the ability of people to make their reality and their ability to change the reality of others. He decries the violence and greed that he sees propping up our decaying society. He offers no solutions, only the reassurance that change s possible.
So here we are at the end of the Empire, the Prophet is dead. Peace is a long road away, and the future seems bleak, but there is such power in his simple message.
